Anonymous asked: What is your view on MLP?
I like that show a lot! I’ve been into it since August 2011, 4 years after I got into Ojamajo Doremi. I attended Equestria LA last year and last week. Last week I worked as a staff member. It’s very convenient because it’s in the same area as Disneyland. Oh, and that con is where I met my current significant other. ;)
My favourite is Pinkie Pie, though I have liked many other characters best in the past. ;D

This kind of text reads better in languages that drop subjects, but here’s my best shot.

Oh yeah, guys. I forgot to mention I was in the childhood towns of both Aiko (Osaka, Japan) and Momoko (New York City, USA) in one month of April 2013. Not bad.

“The other day I started listening OD openings while doing my homework… it was the worst idea ever, I could just concentrate on singing instead of actually working”

“The English dub will always hold a special place in my heart.
Now don’t get me wrong, I know it was terrible and they butchered a lot of aspects of the original; but if it weren’t for the dub, I don’t know if I would have ever known about/given Ojamajo Doremi a chance. It was BECAUSE the dub was so bad that I wanted to see the original so badly. And thanks to Ojamajo Doremi, I fell in love with the Magical Girl genera.
So despite the stupid sing-along and ridiculous rhyming spells, (and the, in my opinion, god-awful accent they gave Aiko) I’ll always treasure the dub for introducing me to my all-time favorite show.”

As much as I hate 4Kids for ruining Ojamajo Doremi, I still have fond memories of waking up on Saturday mornings to watch it on Fox and buying all the toys. Of course, this was before I saw the original version.

(05/06) This Day in Ojamajo Doremi History
On Sunday, May 6, 1990, Asuka Momoko, also known as Momo-chan, was born to Kenzo Asuka and Minori Asuka. She is the last Ojamajo to appear in the series, despite that Hana does not become one until DOKKA~N! Momoko became an apprentice at the time Ojamajo Doremi # took place. Her mentor, Majo Monroe was killed from an illness at the time Momoko became a witch. Momoko was willing to risk her own life for her grandmother-like figure, and failed, resulting in the destruction of her crystal ball. She moves to Japan to re-take witch apprentice courses, as well as learning Japanese again.
Happy 23rd Birthday, Momoko!
